More

I listened to my recording but didn't get any audio on 6259.64. However, I suspect it was R. Saxonia. That seems to be their freq.

7685.2 is Polaris R. ID at s/off "You are listening to Polaris R. polarisradio@hotmail.com"

Thanks for your continued help guys!!

Pirate Report from Dunlo, PA, USA, 28 February 2010

Conditions seemed poor when I got up, so I decided not to go up to the remote site. There was just a weak inaudible signal from LHH 4025. R. Amica wasn’t that strong and only had a bit of audio. 6220 was clear with no sign of Mystery R. (no Cuba either). Also, we got hit with another snowstorm dum...

Pirate Report from Dunlo, PA, USA. 21 February 2010

21 February 2010: The only station I was getting at home was a weak signal from LHH. None of the other stations typically heard before 0700 seemed to be on the air. The propagation data didn’t look all that promising. The Solar Flux has been coming down the last few days, and the A Index seemed to...

Report from Dunlo, PA, USA, 14 February 2010

The huge weather block over Terry's QTH in Newfoundland continues to push Arctic cold and snow down our way. So the accumulated snow from recent storms hasn't showed the slightest hint of beginning to melt. The snow is waist deep here and difficult to wade through. Of course I haven't been out to th...

Report from Dunlo, PA, USA, for 24 January 2010

24 JANUARY 2010: The evening before, Amica was doing fairly well, so I was disappointed there was no sign of it, Pirate Music, or even Mystery R. when I awoke. And there was only a very weak carrier on LHH. The MUF map was about the same as last week with a 5 mhz region between UK and Iceland. Excep...

Thanks

Thanks for the info guys!! Much appreciated!! I don't think I heard the Elburg Delta R. since the 90's. I thought he was gone from SW. And thanks Albert for verifying your short 6202 transmission. Like to keep the logbook as accurate as possible. I'm sure your cat likes the warmth of the transmitter...

Pirate Report from Dunlo, PA, USA for 17 January 2010

17 JANUARY 2010: We had very poor conditions. Signals just weren’t propagating well. There was a 5 mHz MUF between UK and Iceland. A good many static crashes too, probably from the storms in the SE. Would probably not have gone out if the weather wouldn't have been decent and Central R. Int. had n...

Report from Dunlo, PA, USA, for 10 January 2010

10 JANUARY 2010: When I first woke up, I checked out LHH 4025 and was surprised to find weak but readable audio. But then could barely get Amica 7610, and Mystery R. was clobbered by Cuba on 6220. There was no sign of Pirate Music on 6870. So it was hard to tell just how good conditions were. I chec...

Pirate Report from Dunlo, PA, USA, 3 January 2010

First of all, I want to wish everyone the very best for 2010!! May the new year bring us better propagation conditions, stronger signals, and quieter interference-free reception!! 1 JANUARY 2010: I was disappointed when I checked the bands when I awoke. Amica was weak, LHH’s carrier was barely the...

Report from Dunlo, PA, USA, for 27 December 2009

27 DECEMBER 2009: Amica, Pirate Music, and LHH weren’t doing all that well at home before I left for the SGLs. They were similar to yesterday morning. The usually moderately strong signals were somewhat weak and fair at best. Again, there was a small 4 mhz MUF inside a large 5 mhz area over north ...

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Report from Dunlo, PA, USA

24 DECEMBER 2009: Had to go up to the remote site for a Christmas Eve micro-DXpedition. It was rather successful too with about a half dozen Pirates heard as well as Greenland. The Geomagnetic field calmed down a lot in the last day or so. Conditions seemed about normal. Not good, not bad. RX: Micro...
