10 JANUARY 2010: When I first woke up, I checked out LHH 4025 and was surprised to find weak but readable audio. But then could barely get Amica 7610, and Mystery R. was clobbered by Cuba on 6220. There was no sign of Pirate Music on 6870. So it was hard to tell just how good conditions were. I checked out the DX QSL Net propagation web page and the data didn’t look too bad. So I decided to chance it, brave the cold and snow, and head up to the remote site. Conditions weren't that good. Normal I suppose. Fady of course, but quiet. It wasn't easy laying out the BOG through the deep snow. All the equipment worked fine, so I don’t have to worry about cold temps being a problem. This was the coldest temp I've ever been out listening in. All the windows of the Jeep were frosted and iced over on the inside!!

ANT: 315' Beverage (BOG) at 50°.
QTH: Pennsylvania State Game Lands #26
Duration: 0740-1105 UTC
Solar Indices: Solar Flux = 82 A Index = 0 K Index = 0 No storms.
WX: Partly cloudy and starry with a bit of a breeze. Temp dropped to 0° F. (-18° C.)!!!!!

4025 LHH 0755 Rap mx. Song anmnt 0758 ending w/anncr saying it was the end of his show, then ID jingle w/laser shooting SFX, then back to mx. (10 Jan)

5800 Bluestar R. Signal on at 0843:20, and getting some mx a minute later. Sounded like Rock mx at 0846. Threshold audio for about the first 10 minutes, then weakened. Left the air at 0900:05. But then a signal showed up on 5796.81 at 0900:50, but couldn’t be Bluestar as it was noted on 6265. The signal on 5896.81 then went off at 0913:34. (10 Jan)
