27 DECEMBER 2009: Amica, Pirate Music, and LHH weren’t doing all that well at home before I left for the SGLs. They were similar to yesterday morning. The usually moderately strong signals were somewhat weak and fair at best. Again, there was a small 4 mhz MUF inside a large 5 mhz area over north Atlantic. Conditions turned out to be very poor. By 0930 it was apparent it wasn’t going to get any better so I departed.

ANT: 315' Beverage (BOG) at 50°.
