Hi everyone:
This weekend saw some great evening conditions, particularly Friday and Saturday nights. 48m was even skipping well into the US on Saturday night (I know Bravo Sierra was heard by several Americans, despite relatively low power). Unfortunately, Sunday morning was almost completely useless. Some details from LHH and Merlin (I guess because they are closer), but Orion was the only Dutch station logged Sunday morning, barely.
Fortunately, there were lots of stations on the air in the evenings, which made for some very enjoyable listening. One reason I like listening to pirates (besides the lack of commercials, hi) is the wide variety of music. There was 50’s music from Free Radio Victoria and Bravo Sierra, country from Black Bandit and Alice, nice old blues from TRX, older rock from Mike, Skyline and Mustang, pop from Powerliner and Experience, dance from Black Arrow and Relmus and a Springsteen marathon from Marconi. And not just music … I got a rare chance to listen to a couple of Bogusman’s little stories ( a unique, but very interesting character).
As a dxer, I admit that I like to hear as many stations as possible, but I would not spend so much time listening if the programming was not so good. Thanks to everyone for the great shows!

Note: I think there were a lot of QSOs around 1715 this night. I could detect many carriers, including a very strong one on 1713,2 (Doc said Kristal). This is a good, free frequency here, but mw conditions were fairly noisy this night.
