Re: PIRATE SONGS / etherpiraten muziek
Here's a long list of download links for pirate radio songs from DIYmedia (starts partway down the page:
http://www.diymedia.net/audio/featuredmp3s.htm
Our favorite, and our standard signoff tune since the early 80s, has always been
'We Want The Airwaves' by the Ramones.

Re: PIRATE SONGS / etherpiraten muziek
Thanks for restarting this thread, John!
And thanks for the link! Lots of interesting songs there. I'll have a listen to them!
The Dutch have many pirate songs (the people in the east of the Netherlands seem to have a DIY attitude to both radio and music – which is great!)
I mentioned one in my latest log: Oompie Koerier’s ‘Ze moeten mij hangen’ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qssH-Tu ... re=related (Oompie Koerier was himself a pirate broadcaster.)
Another great pirate country is (or was) France. They probably have a few pirate songs. I’ve found one: Le Grand Orchestre du Splendid’s ‘Radio Pirate’ (those who know how to search for mp3s will no doubt find it on the Internet).
The French of course also have ‘La dance des pirates’ from ‘Les mondes engloutis’ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBoWD5E3 ... re=related (The woman, Massmédia, is a pirate broadcaster.)
And Russia’s ‘radio hooligans’ have Yuriy Vostrov’s ‘Посвящение Радиохулиганам – 60-70х’ (To the radio hooligans of the 60s and 70s’): http://audiopoisk.com/index.php?q=%CF%E ... 0%ED%E0%EC
I wonder if there is pirate music in other pirate countries as well (Germany, Italy, Greece, Serbia ...). (I think I’ve heard a few songs from the UK...)

Re: PIRATE SONGS / etherpiraten muziek
Indeed the Dutch have much pirate songs. Another from Oompie Koerier I like is: En In Een Poep En Een Zucht I heard this song when I was a little pirate almost 40 years ago. Radio Pirate, I often play for my Frensh Friends.

Another one by Oompie Koerier! Great! I'm listening to it right now on YouTube...
I was wondering were I'd heard 'Radio pirate'. It must have been on Orion Radio! (Or perhaps on Atlantic 2000.)
Here is one which was played by Bartje on 1630 a few months ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nmlp3L7rfmQ (OK, it's about CB radio, but it's cool).
