Hi everyone:
I have not posted since New Years, because conditions have been poor.
This past weekend, however, conditions were extremely variable. Most western European stations were very weak, but I logged my second confirmed Greek mw pirate and my first confirmed South American pirate!
On Saturday night, there were apparently several Dutch stations on mw, but I could only detect carriers, with no audio. Upon tuning to 1715, however, I heard distinct Greek music and talk with an echo effect, which I know is quite common among Greek pirates. I posted a log in the Greek pirate forum (www.anodos.freeforums.org), with a link to the audio file (http://www.mediafire.com/?1q5a0ei6437q73v). Many thanks to “Crazy Scientistâ€

Hi Terry
Some great catches there. Glad to be of assistance! I don't know if you've come across this Facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/pages/AUSTRALIA ... 5504027480
It might help you hear an elusive Aussie pirate!
