Good conditions this weekend.

Can conditions be too good?It was hard to keep up with all the TX's firing up!!

Nice to hear so many low power stations.

As for the "Power stations",Cupid was the best signal for a while.Till Shadowman came on.Then a huge signal from Borderhunter followed by a very powerful Scotland.

Quite a few UNID's this week.Especially around 6210/6215 and 6300/6310.Any ideas anyone?

I could have listened to Pirates all day but I had things to do.Went out and missed Optimod.Then I sat my portable up on my (South facing) kitchen window ledge and tuned it to 6210.Borderhunter.Sorted!Prepared the family meal whilst listening to an amazing mix of music from Frans!Something for everyone!What a signal too!

Only one station stronger than Borderhunter,that was the Latvian relay with MV Baltic.
Still on the portable in the kitchen,sounded like a local FM station.Conditions really were good!No fading and some superb music.Check out www.rrms.de to see what they are all about.

Best signal of the true Pirates was Borderhunter.Just behind was Shadowman,who was just as strong as Borderhunter but not on a clear frequency.Then Scotland and Cupid.

Hello Andy,

the station you heard on Sunday at 6400 was Radio Freebird International.
I'd like to thank you very much for your reception report, and it's great to hear the signal was getting through over there well.
The power I'm using is around 6 Watts.

Looks like those days are coming back!

Very good signal from Cupid.

Altrex you continue to do really well on low power,I really like your mic sound too.

Freebird,what can I say?6 watts?It just shows what can be done!

I had a Pirate friend many years ago,who did MW & 48m and never used more than 5 watts.He did OK.

I think that was De Grote Versierder, he is using a transceiver
Location somewere in the north of the Netherlands.
