Back on 6991 kHz

Post by Kemenes »

Hi all,

I'm testing a new antenna from 0600 to 1200 UTC on 6991 kHz
and also this evening from 2100 UTC. My transmitter also had some problem,
that has been fixed. There won't be own programme, just a relay of another station.
Power is still 10 watts, location is Eastern Hungary.
The new email address: bank69@rock.com

Greetings, Peter

Thanks to you all. Maybe it could be better in the evening.
I will be on air from 2100 UTC every evening for the time being.
The exact frequency is approx. 6991.15 kHz, maybe 6991.2
could be mine.

Sorry, I messed up the email address above. I have corrected
that.

Very weak station tonight on 6991,2 kHz, since 21.30UTC.

Audio hardly above local noise (I'm short of tricks to improve it!)

Programme: mainly talk, man talking, can't say the language.

Carrier well above noise. Frequency seems to drift a bit, would say from 6991,22 to 6991,25, just relative measure, about 30 Hz drift in half an hour, nothing really bad.

If it's you, distance is about 1500 km. If you have a low antenna (quite possible, I think), you could get better reports from less than 500 km. Oh, I saw a report on a blog from central Poland for 6991,2 I think it was on Sunday.

Well, work on that antenna !

Hello Ray,

Thanks for reply. I think that was me, the polish log surely. I was relaying a
slovak FM station at all times.

My antenna is a dipole, seven meters above the ground. I can't raise that
higher in this location, however I'm gonna build a bigger transmitter soon.
Untill that I have to use this rig.
Maybe conditions were not good tonight, I regularly check out my
signals on web receivers in the UK, but tonight it was weaker than before.

Greetings, Peter

Hello Peter!

Just checked... Around 22.10 UTC a pretty strong carrier on 6991,2 but no sound. :? About the same strength as last sunday when the techno was on. I didn´t hear one single pirate this evening on any band, so perhaps the radioweather wasn´t so good today...

A big thanks for the QSL-card :!: :D
Hungary is a new pirateworld for me, I hope we will hear great shows in hungarian from Bank 69 Radio in the future.

I will keep an eye on 6991!

Sorry, I switched on the transmitter at 2100 as usual,
but the audio was off untill 2230 UTC. I use an external
amplifier for modulation and I had to repair something.
But I'll be back tonight.

Hello again Peter!

Event better signal this evening. I was dancing to Simple Minds a few minutes ago, thanks for the music. \:D/

Thanks also for the explanation of my "reception of no sound" last evening. I should have stayed on a little bit longer...
Amazing that 10 watts can sound like this 2000 km away. Great! :D

Hello everyone

Iann, I think that was me, the transmitter was switced on earlier,
but the music was started at 2205.

Thanks for tuning in again, Jan. Keep this good habit.
