Glasgow SW log, Sun 10th June

Post by undigest »

Some very strong signals in the short time I had to listen this morning, but unstable: a very quiet band one minute, buried in static the next.

3945, WMR, Jack Russell talking about the Sporadic E season at 1830UTC. 34232.

5725kHz, Orion Radio, playing Abba at 0654UTC. 35333, down to 25222 at 0730UTC.

6220kHz, Mystery Radio, playing pop at 1827UTC. 44433.

6265kHz, Premier Radio, IDing as Premier FM at 0728UTC and playing Be Bop a Lula. 34333, but gone a few minutes later.

6280kHz, Radio Boomerang, playing Boney M at 0636UTC and saying weather wasn't too good in the Netherlands. 45444.

6305kHz, Radio Merlin, IDing as RMI at 1829UTC and playing Bad Company. 33333

6310kHz, UNID (probably Bonofox per other logs), playing "Hold the Line" by Toto at 0718UTC. 24222.

6325kHz, Radio Lowland, playing Dutch music with ID at 0615UTC. Peaked at 44444.

6325kHz, Radio Zodiac playing Toto's "Hold the Line" (song of the day, it seems!) then ID and Summermeeting promo at 1833UTC. 33333.

6375kHz, West Coast (tentative), heard with weak music under UTE at 0732UTC. 23322.

FRG-7 + indoor wire + matching transformer.
All frequencies +/- a few kHz...

Best to all,

Peter
