Glasgow, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st

Post by undigest »

Not much IDed through the static and fading: I think conditions might have been better Sunday afternoon, but I only had a few minutes to check.

Saturday 20th

6305kHz, Orion Radio, 0917UTC playing "Orinoco Flow" by Enya. 43333, S9+20 on peaks.

6400kHz, Radio RP, heard briefly giving ID and hotmail address at 1115 then disappeared into the noise. 24322.

Sunday 21st

5720kHz, Orion Radio, playing "Like a Rolling Stone" at 0812, and "Radar Love" at 0820. 45433, S9+10 peak.

6205kHz, Radio Scotland International, playing "You're Still My Favourite Girlfriend" at 0849 and IDing as a test transmission at 0858. 44333, S9+10 peaks.

6220kHz Mystery Radio, playing music at 0759. 44433, fading out after sunrise.

6240kHz, UNID (presume Laser/JRRI) English-accented announcements at 0955UTC. 23322, with splash from TWR on 6230kHz.

6265kHz, UNID playing "Bridge Over Troubled Water" at 1002. 24322.

6275kHz, Radio Kentucky, playing a Dutch language version of "In the Navy" by Village People (!) at 1532UTC, then the German song "Cinderella Baby". 33333.

6280kHz, UNID English station (maybe Merlin) with an unreadable jingle ID at 0844. 24322.

6300kHz, UNID heard playing music at 0909, unreadable under very bad heterodyne. More than one station here I think. 32421.

6305kHz, UNID (maybe West Coast per other logs) playing Dutch music at 0959, with splash from 6300kHz. 23322.

6325kHz, UNID (maybe RWI per other logs), heard faintly playing music at 0802. Disappeared soon after this. 24322.

FRG-7 + indoor wire.
All frequencies +/- a few kHz as usual...

All best,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the logs!
By the way: the song you heard was "Alice Long" by Tommy Boyce & Bobby Hart.

Greetings, Albert.
