Hi everyone:
Strange conditions this weekend. Friday was horrible ... only the strongest stations were audible.
Saturday started very well, with signals starting to fade in early on 48 m and an incredibly loud test on 11428 kHz by Channel Z from the US. Unfortunately, 48 m did not continue to improve as usual, and stayed relatively weak for most of the night. One exception to to the weak conditons was Fox 48 ... this northern station is extemely difficult to log here ... but I caught a little of his signal Saturday night (Sunday morning utc).
Conditions were good Sunday night, and lots of stations on the air . Late Sunday night, conditons went to very long skip. I heard Sycko Radio from the US with decent signal. A UK listener could also hear him, and a listener in the Ukraine could get enough of a signal to tell talk from music. But one US listener checked online receivers around the US, and there was almost no signal there! Those sunspots must finally be having some effect.
