Brief Report from Dunlo, PA, USA

Post by Dave Valko »

I was going to wait until New Years Day to post a report here, but conditions are pretty decent (dare I say good!!) for reception across the Atlantic. Infintely better than a week ago. I'd like to suggest to operators that this might be good opportunity to be heard over here, but every time I mention it, conditions bomb out!!!! Anyway, here's a quick rundown of what was heard this morning.

6878 Pirate Music (presumed) 0657-0748
6401.03 WMR 0707-1001+
6220 Mystery R. 0710, S-6 here.
6210 R. East Coast Holland/VOTN 0711-0948+
6304.97 R. Boomerang 0829-0904* Unbelievably strong!!
6294.97 R. Tornado (pres. per uk DXer blog) 0850-0900. Too weak.
6327.47 R. Saturnus 0859-0927 Pulsing UTE right on top.
6305 R. North Pole (pres. per UK DXer log) 0929-0938. Ext. weak.
6264.96 Premier R. Int. (pres.) 0938-1005+ Good details but no real ID.
6285.03 UNID. 0958-1009 Someone tuning a xmtr across this freq at t/in, then settled here and hrd mx, then discussion between M and W.
6281.2 Carrier at 1004. Station or spur??
6240.9 Definite carrier and possible audio at 1006. Someone here??

Not a lot of stations noted on the air. Will probably be going out to listen again later this evening and again in the morning. Hopefully conditions will be just as good if not better.
