I haven't posted on here since 23/05/10,over 6 weeks.

Why?Partly because I had other things to do,partly because I was following the football
(Though God only knows why!!)But mainly because the conditions have been so terrible.
I have been listening though. Not so much on Friday nights or on Saturdays, but I've been there every Sunday morning.
But last Sunday all I heard was one station and I couldn't even get an ID!!!
Anyone want to claim this one?;

Sunday 11/07/10 - 6320Khz - 0905-0910 - UNID - 35434 - "Yellow River","Woman from Tokyo".

Conditions did improve slightly this weekend, which is why I am posting.

Can I just say what a "Rock Solid Broadcaster" Orion Radio is.
He is on air nearly every week and even on the weeks he can't broadcast,he warns us on this forum.
He is like "Big Ben".........you can set your watch by him!!:-)
Great stuff.Keep it up John!

For me this weekend, the other big event was Black Bandit Radio.
I am sure most readers are aware of who this is.The voice is unmistakeable.
This man is one of many Old Time Dutch Pirate Legends.
Unusual to hear him on this band. But it was great for me(As a non Dutch speaker)to hear him in English.(His English is not bad at all).
Maybe he had a little too much "Poison Water" by the end but I still really enjoyed his broadcast.
MESSAGE TO BLACK BANDIT;
Please broadcast in English again,I loved to hear your opinions and comments.
But please lay off the "Poison Water",I hear that Beer is popular in NL.Why not try that next time?

Seriously though,Black Bandit you are a legend. Please keep your standards up.
BTW there was nothing wrong with your mic.In fact all your mod sounded superb.

5820Khz - 0733-0738 - Orion Radio - 45333 - Instrumental Music.CD at 0830.Early for Orion.
6265Khz - 1004-1009 - Radio Geronimo - 45444 - AC/DC,Dragon.
6305Khz - 0739-0744 - UNID - 45333 - Earth & Fire,Tiny Tim?No ID and non-stop music.
6310Khz - 0845-0850 - Radio Marconi - 35333 - "Born to be Wild".
6375Khz - 0750-0755 - Black Bandit Radio - 45444 - Strange mix of music.
6375Khz - 1014-1019 - Black Bandit Radio - 44333 - Polka's and Chat.
6375Khz - 1123-1128 - Black Bandit radio - 54434 - Did he turn the power up?CD at 1143.

Hello Andy,

thanks for your logs!

You are right: I´t´s great that those "Dutch pirate legend" as
R.Black Bandit now can also been received with so strong
signals on the 48mtrs!!!

Best wishes,
Radio Caroline International.

P.S.: We have the same problems as you:
Because conditions during daytime are so bad, we have lost a little bit
of interest to listen to the pirates on the shortwaves 48mtrs during daytime, BUT: Be sure, conditions will change in any time!

Your UNID :

Sunday 11/07/10 - 6320Khz - 0905-0910 - UNID - 35434 - "Yellow River","Woman from Tokyo".

was probably R. MARCONI. I heard "Yellow River" at the same time, and the ID at C/D just before 10.00.

Hello Andy, thanks for the kind words again. I was wondering what you where doing, but glad to see you are still here. Thanks also for the log. Indeed early off, because conditions where not the best and the weather was fine here, I desided to have a long walk with the dog.
