London Calling.

Post by Andy Richards »

The weather across Europe has been superb this week.
27 degrees in London today! But a little humid.(As is often the case in these islands).
Sunshine seems to have a bad effect on SW conditions, but this weekend was not as bad as the last few weeks.
No fade out from Borderhunter on 76m at all............but he faded out, temporarily,on 48m!
To be fair, all signals were fading in & out.Every station I heard today faded right out at one point.
I began to think the weekend would be OK when the PRI signal began to boom in last night with some superb music.
Then Borderhunter came in with his usual "Armchair quality" reception on 76m............some great jingles & trailers Frans!
Sunday morning began with Orion Radio,as it often does with me,and no gentle relaxing tune.........The Sweet's "Blockbuster"!
The stage was set for the day.Radio Scotland rocked as usual,Radio Borderhunter had a nice mix of tunes, but pretty uptempo, with plenty of techno & Rock too.Great to hear Alfred back on the air via
VOTN............lots of Hard Techno & driving Rock.
The music was lively but short lived as conditions soon got worse.
All stations had good mod today, none were bad.But I have to say that whilst Radio Borderhunter's mod was superb and clear as usual,Radio Shadowman's mod was exceptional.
The problem with really good mod is that it often
leads to splatter. This was not the case with Radio Shadowman.Excellent mod & no splatter.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the (always) intresting comments and logs.
Nice to know I was not fading out last night on 76 as last weeks.
(I was a little worry about that)
And today it was all by all not so bad.
