London Calling.

Post by Andy Richards »

It is a Public Holiday here in the UK so I delayed my post in the hope of receiving some UK Pirates.Unfortunately nothing heard.

Conditions continue to throw up strange paradoxes.

How is it Radio Calypso(With help from Scirrocco) managed a consistent signal over many hours? How long were they on for?Well done guys.

How is it Radio Scotland were so weak here?Normally a huge signal with me.

How is it that Radio Borderhunter can have the most powerful signal here for two weeks in a row and yet still suddenly fade right out?Incidentaly,it was about 30 minutes later this week than last week.

How is it I have no reception of Orion Radio again?

I didn't read the posts about Atlantic 2000 till last night and am annoyed I missed their programme.
That just proves that you need to log into Alfa Lima regularly to keep updated.

Hello Andy,

you can listen to the Atlantic 2000 show at :
http://radioatlantic2000.free.fr
They do QSL cards for that listening way too.
Just send them an email, and they will warn you next time they will be on air.

Your unid station on Sunday 6400 was Pionier.

I was surprised not to hear more Britain pirates too. I think BRI was on air, but I did not hear them.

Greetings.

Hello Andy,

to bad you didn't hear orion radio. I was on air last week for several times; testing and working with the modulator. Last Sunday I was on 5825kc because Spaceshuttle would be on 5815kc, but I didn't hear them at all. Strange conditions? Anyway thanks and hope you have next time more luck.
