6294.5 Xenon Transmitting Company 1324 M tlking abt R. Galaxy and ‘UK stations on the 48 meterband’, and ment of 6295. 1326 into Reggae mx. 1331 tlk abt the mx. Said was running very low power, abt 15(??) watts and a grenade xmtr. 1344 nice ID, then tlk abt sev. stns including WMR and R. Underground. Fady w/severe slop QRM from 6289 V.O. the Netherlands. Nice to see this one back on the air again. Hrd on the Bedfordshire UK Ten-Tec RX320D Web receiver w/G5RV antenna. (20 Oct.)

6400.1 WMR Already getting a carrier on this at 1914 (more than 3 hours before local sunset). Even hints of audio shortly thereafter. Almost readable by 1940. Anmnt and jingle after song. Seemed to be playing old pirate recordings. Recognized “The Man of Actionâ€

Hi Dave

I think there's a couple of typos in the frequencies. Should 6294.96 read 6264.96 and 6380.07 be 6280.07 ???

Anyway ,the mention of "westcoast of Ireland" is almost certainly Premier Radio Int. There was another carrier on 6265 yesterday with no modulation, sio 343 which i believe was Radio 48 testing, and today at 14:30 with rock music ,as heard by you, no ID, sio 222 at best. I don't think this was Premier as I can't usually RX them here.

Thanks for pointing out the typos!!! You were correct. I guess it comes from crawling out of bed at 2:15 AM!!

After replaying the ID of 6264.96 again, it still doesn't sound at all like Premier R. Int. The word after "Radio" sounds like 4 sylables. The first 2 almost sound like Glasgow!! It doesn't sound like "48" either. Hopefully someone will have IDed it.

There were two stations. Everything re-read, they should be like this :

6264.96 should be Premier Radio Int (close to the usual frequency)

6264,83 should be the other station, that tested with open carrier on the Saturday (I had it on 6264.8 kHz, I can't read it better)

With such a narrow shift, it's not impossible to tune ECSS on a frequency and hear the sound of the other, shifted and still a bit understandable, I think.
