The big news this week was the return of the "Legal Pirate" station Big L on 1395.
Or should I say KBC/Big L/One Gold/Britain Radio Int?
A lot of experience there............they deserve to succeed.

But they won't.Without the support of the listeners.

This may well be the last chance we have of a proper, legal,Pirate station operating and surviving.

I see that Roger Davies has closed his "Britain Radio International" website........this must be serious.
I look forward to hearing his programmes on Big L.

The mod is not great, maybe they should talk to Boomi or Frans..........I'm joking!KBC know how to get good mod. They just need to "Tweak" it.

I hope you will all support them despite some problems they have to start with.

Radio Relmus had a huge signal here on Friday, but I couldn't ID him without the help of "The
Chatbox".This is still a problem for me with Dutch MW stations.

No such problem with Barones on Saturday night.Rock solid signal,Rock solid ID.

You're right ... good to see Big L back although one or two pirates don't approve as Big L is not a real pirate! But the spirit of free radio is there in Big L/KBC which you don't get with commercial or BBC stations in the UK.

I think Big L's Roger Davis is different to BRI's Roger Davis ... although I'm not entirely sure, can someone clarify?

The BRI website had to close as Yahoo pulled the plug on its Geocities sites. BRI's new website is at http://britainradio48.atspace.com although there isn't much on it at the moment.

I'm being more drawn to the medium wave band at night now due to the poor shortwave conditions. Barones had a great signal on Saturday and I was also listening to Bluestar who switched from SW to MW due to the high noise levels on 76m. But I agree, many of the Dutch MW stations aren't easy to ID unless you have a good grasp of Dutch!

IIRC, B.R.I. has a link with KBC, as heard in several transmissions of B.R.I., and even when relayed by LHH (KBC ads heard on 4025 !)
