Nice warm sunny and balmy Sunday here.Unlike in NL.
I was surprised to hear so many stations on the air so early.
John of Orion was not the only early riser today. His signal was OK too, still not as strong as a few months ago but the 52m band is less noisy than 48m with me,so he comes through quite well.
Nice too to hear so many UK stations.
Just like last week,76m is still the band of the moment............but dare I say it........48m seems to be getting just a little bit better.Signals still fading right out and then back again though.
LHH have been audible almost all weekend.See the logs below.
Good to hear Radio 48 again after quite a long break.
Radio Borderhunter were a good solid signal on 6260.Frans was in "Disco mood" today!
When I first heard a TX tuning up on 6210,I guessed it was probably Borderhunter or Scotland as it was such a strong carrier and those stations often use that frequency. When I heard some really nice Rock coming through I thought, maybe Scotland.Really surprised when I realised it was Geronimo!
Excellent signal with me.
But the best signal with me came from Radio Merlin both on 6280 and 6300........really crashing in!
I don't ever remember saying that the best signal with me this weekend came from a UK station.
Well done Merlin! He was closely followed by Geronimo and Borderhunter. After that it was Mystery.

thanks Andy for the report, much appreciated. I guess it was also something with the propagation today that so many Dutch where on air. It was a long time ago we have been heard in Holland! It surpriced me by example to hear R. Zodaic today on 6378kc around 1000utc with a massive signal and exelent audio. Tobad I had to walk with the dog.

Thanks Andy for the report.

A long time before I fired up my own transmitter I was listening to Radio Merlin on 6300 khz. S9 and up to S9+20DB for long moments.
I did found also Radio 48 back on the receiver and they did it very well too.

I think it had to do with the very bad and rainy weather that sunday overhere. 8)

Concerning Merlin, I can confirm that overhere (in the Netherlands) his signal was also (one of) the strongest that I received that sunday, peaking up to some S9+30dB's.
So, if you ask me, Merlin made his 'own conditions' that day...
