Free radio pirates on medium and short wave messageboard of alfa lima

So much for 11 year sunspot cycles!Nobody told The Sun.............

It's not happening,is it?

I have heard the reports saying that the sun may actually be cooling and decreasing in sunspot
activity.Not good for the earth and not good for radio fans.

Conditions are still poor during the day on "The Pirate Bands",sometimes quite good at night.
By contrast the 20m Ham band and 11m Freebanders are getting good openings.

Getting UK stations quite well here,Telstar,Bogusman,Underground & LHH all coming in quite well.

But Dutch stations are poor at the moment,except at night.Marconi is usually strong,especially at night.
Relmus and Oskar Zulu were not bad at night too.But during the day Borderhunter and Orion were
much weaker than normal.Was Orion trying to send us a message with the tunes he played?Good stuff!

However,a certain Czech station is doing pretty well..........Radio Caroline getting good signals
into the UK on low power.

Seems that short and long skip are OK but that the "medium skip" we are used to is suffering.
