3 weeks of logs from Newfoundland

Hi Everyone:

Not as many logs as usual, but my listening time has been very limited. I have been working long hours, and also dealing with a family medical crisis for the past several months that has left me with little free time. I have used this free time mainly to listen, and have been very neglectful of keeping proper logs, and sending reports to stations.

I have finally reviewed my audio files and updated my logs, and I hope to resume sending more reports to stations again soon.

This was very interesting 3 weeks. Some highlights:

Radio Face de Blatte conducted the most successful transatlantic test that I have ever seen on 48 m on Halloween night. (Halloween has a reputation of being a being a great pirate night in North America.) RFB was heard by dozens of listeners throughout North America, even a tentative reception in California! (Unfortunately, most logs were posted on frn, which has since deleted the log! Perhaps they were annoyed that a European was so successful on “theirâ€

Wow, Great logs!

The dark time of the year is on with many hours of overseas reception. Your logs are helping me a lot up here in Finland, so try to find time for producing these excellent logs!!! I think you have spent some hours also on this one too... I hope your family is OK now.

The next weeks we will try to be on the air again (like last winter)
very late (from about 22hrs GMT-01hrs GMT) on the 48mtrs and
with a new much more powerful transmitter also on the 76mtrs.
