All Europe Radio - BRI Relay
As well as using their usual frequency of 6240kHz (48mb) and their internet stream, Britain Radio International will also be using the relay facilities of All Europe Radio (April 8th, 2007 broadcast only). You can find us on 6912kHz (43mb) ShortWave from 10am BST/1100hrs CET.
Both BRI & AER would be very interested to know what the quality of this signal is like at your location. We are also interested in what you think of the audio quality as well.
Reception reports of this relay should be sent to britainradio@hotmail.com.
Kind regards,
All Europe Radio

Hi,
Errmm... Well in both cases I'm affraid reception is very poor here.
I heard a definite ID on 6240 (6239.4-ish) kHz with intermittent utility QRM, SINPO 12112.
But on 6912 kHz I can barely get a signal at all SIO 111, (there is a carrier there, but it's too weak to confirm).
I do have a lot of interference here though and my aerial's not brilliant.
Hope you get some other better reports. Happy Easter.

OK I can hear it on the Rommelle DXtuner in Sweden, the 6240 TX is about S7 and very good audio the 6912 TX is much weaker about S1 to 2 and the audio is much thinner, also a lot of UTE interference on that freq.
Still nothing heard at home in England.
Dave.

Thanks to all of you for your help with yesterdays broadcast, certainly a mixed bag of reports, one report from Northern Ireland said very strong signals, but the signal appeared to of skipped most of the UK? concidering conditions are reported to be settled I am very suprised as to how long the skip is on 48mtrs at the moment, however over the years I have noticed similar happenings at the start of Winter then again in March/April so perhaps things will settle down shortly.
