Hi,
On evenings from Monday 25 to Wednesday 27,
there were horrible utilities in the 48 mb.
Some of the most disturbed frequencies : 6210, 6223, 6237, 6282, 6319, 6330, 6396,
all approx because the signals were powerful and with wide bandwidth.
I describe the noise as 'bubbling machine gun"
All the frequencies are used at the same time, or none, and when used, the signals can last a few minutes up to maybe more than an hour.
Splashes and spurs were also heard, maybe intermods from inside the transmitting site ?
Anyone heard that too ? What do you think it could be ? (OTH radar is just a guess)
Ray

Nothing heard here, and till now (april 1) no disturbing 'machine gun' signals on or next to the freq. you mentioned. Just the usual noise.

Maybe Stanag 4285 maritime transmissions ? This band is a maritime band.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies. Happily, that pest was not heard again.
Michel, I heard that on 48 m, not elsewhere, and AFAIK, Stanag is the common "noise" (digital) signal with about 1 kHz wide band, quite different from that new pest.
Glowbug, is there any HAARP station in Europe ? Can HAARP stations operate as low as 6.2 MHz ?
Good listening, guys
