Radio Telstar South - 5805 Monday 18.11

Post by Dx Monitor »

These guys must be running on Duracell’s because whilst all the other stations on 48m have faded into the noise they are still pumping out those sixties hits on 5805 Khz, even Jack’s powerful WMR has disappeared into a Scottish mist.
In the UK it has been a bank holiday weekend so this might explain the extended transmission from Britain’s first solid gold wireless and possibly Britain’s oldest operational pirate radio station since RFL decided to pull the plug some five years ago.

O=2/3 with some local TVI-interference. Nice reception quite strong today sometimes S=8.

Telstar is 34222 in Glasgow, clear frequency but noisy band here. Playing "Can't Buy Me Love" at 1857UTC.

All best,

Peter
