Cologne loves Polka

Hello again,
Propagation was ok up to good. I missed a lot of stations on Saturday morning because I had time for a very short band scan: 6216, 6220 6250, 6280, 6295, 6300, 6304 and so on.
I make some remarks about Polka below, it is not very serious. I think a lot of Germans have a problem with traditional music caused how that kind of music was instrumentalized from the Nazis.
The stations from Greek and the Balkan were strong on Saturday evening on medium wave.
Nice reception conditions on Sunday morning. I tuned in at 07: 00 and heard no near by signal from Jülich and DW 6075 was not very strong. But I heard the first stations. After breakfast I listened 1 hour to Likedeeler and afterwards to Nordsee WS. Absolutely nice programs.
The band was totally overcrowded. A lot of stations doubled around 6300.

20:32 3905 15421 UNID answ. Boomi with Hard Rock mx. Or was it Boomi with a Dummy? Oh no, it was Fox48 at 20:35 with 25422.

19:00 3904 25332 UNID with ELO, Deep Purple, at 19:26 45444 playing Polka, no ID up to 19:42 and I decided: enough Polka for tonight and changed to 3933 and ... see 3933
19:04 3933 35333 UNID Barretina or Baake16? or so from Friesland, low voice modulation, hl:0622577006, I went to the refrigerator to fetch another beer. Sometimes a beer helps people outside the Netherlands to survive Dutch Free Radio. At 19:56 Heintje with Mama, I needed the next beer. At 20:05 I changed to medium wave, on 1655 I heard the loudest station on the band playing.....yeah, you are right, playing P O L K A. From the signal strength it could be Baro and at 20:12 I heard good old Baro loud and clear with an ID. I joined Baro World service for the next hours and heard an unbelievable announcement from Baro: Uncle Bernhard, the man behind one of my favorite stations, or may be my favorite station, phoned in and had a music wish for Tante Funk and Viking: P O L K A or AC/DC. Baro played….P O L K A! Where is my rifle? No more alcohol for tonight! At 20:55 AC/DC, now I like the world again and I will live further on. Thank you Baro!!! Baro showed his singing talent. He was one of the best singers on medium wave again!
