Caught a faint and short lived transmission on 7730KHz @ 0441 UTC, SINPO 25322 and faded out before I caught any ID.

AM mode, male with southern US accent, talking about NASCAR.

Thought it was another preacher station, but none Googled for 7730 :?:

Cheers!

That's kind of an odd frequency to use if it's pirate, I googled it and it doesn't seem that any stations use that frequency. Probably just a bored ham.

Hi Darklife,

Odd indeed!

Conditions were pretty phenomenal on the west coast tonight from 48M straight up to 30M. Even good strong signals into 18M. Who really knows where this was from. I was guessing US from the accent.

Cheers!

You were right, it is another preacher station! WYFR, ex-7780. http://www.eibi.de.vu/ shows scheduled 0300-0745 and again 1100-1345.

Aw, nuts :(

Thanks muchly for the info Alex!

They are popping up all over. I was hoping to get a pirate tonight.

Their flamethrower stations on 6915 and 6985 makes US pirate DXing all but impossible with the QRM.

Cheers!

Yeah, exactly, especially the splash from 6915 to 6925 pirate stations. Cheers!
