Happened to be up in middle of the night local time, so checked 48-m.b. Heard something on 6237 kHz. AM mode around 0645-0700 UTC. Could hear male voice, but with static crashes from thunderstorms coming through here all night it was hard to make out. When it came in strongest, language sounded like Dutch or German; could also hear little bits of music, but I'm afraid nothing that I recognized. It was gone by 0715; anyone know what this could have been?
Also heard something in AM mode on 3905 at 0715, but not strong enough to make anything out, and again under the static crashes. This could be the Papua New Guinea SWBC station, but the PNG stations usually don't start coming in until a couple of hrs. after this, and it is not sched. to be on from what I can find until 0800. Was this a Pirate? Any help on these 2 would be appreciated.
