Sunday morning.

1.Get out of bed.
2.Make VERY strong cup of coffee.
3.Light cigarette.
4.Turn radio on.
5.Tune to 5815Khz.........Orion Radio.
6.Sorted!

Missed it last week.Glad you're back John!

A fairly quiet Sunday though.Besides Orion Radio,a fairly solid signal from
Radio Viking.

Friday night was good........the return of Radio Spaceman!Last time I heard
him was last Christmas.

Saturday night was the best though.Three of my favorite stations on at the
same time.
Spaceman,Bogusman & Underground!!!
Three excellent,but totally different,stations.
Steve(Underground),glad you're back!Always interesting & informative.
Bogusman may be harder for European listeners to appreciate,
but he is very funny & plays some good music too.
What can I say about Spaceman?You all know him.Great
broadcaster.On Saturday he was assisted by "Uncle Bernhard" of Radio
Likedeeler.Good show.
"Uncle Bernhard" mentioned that I had previously logged
Radio Borderhunter as "Armchair quality" and wondered what reception
of Radio Spaceman & Radio Likedeeler was like.
"Armchair quality" is not a term I invented.
(Though I wish I had!)But is an old English term,probably dating back to
the 1930's.All it means is that the signal is so strong that you can sit back
& enjoy it.(Rather than put your ear up to the speaker or put headphones on).
I imagine an old guy(In the 1930's),with slippers & pipe,leaning back in his armchair,enyoing his favorite classical or jazz music from Berlin,Hilversum,Paris or the BBC in London!
Yes Uncle Bernhard!Radio Spaceman WAS "Armchair quality"!!

"Armchair quality" is a good description for reception of several of the stations around this weekend with 75m performing really well at the moment. Spaceman and Bogusman were two and Radio Underground has also been coming in well this weekend.

I'm also pleased to see UK stations returning to the airwaves...I'm currently listening to Telstar South on 5800. Then there's the Bogusman, Underground, Radio Merlin all on this weekend, and I also saw a log for WNKR during the week.

Laser's also got its 4025 transmitter working well.

Daytime reception is a bit of a write-off (a chance to sit in the sun when it does come out!) but the evenings are more than making up for it.
