A very interesting weekend with exceptional high A-index causing a big difference in reception over Europe. For the first time since I found this Alfa Lima pages I feel that I heard almost as many stations up here as listeners in central Europe. I love it ...heh...

More crazy radioweather please

Friday 29.2 (No bandscan this evening)

6264,1 20.26 Radio Gay played "I´m a bitch" ...hm  Not so strong but a stable signal. Would be interesting to know if anybody heard them in Italy... Foton in Poland seems to hear them well...

Saturday 1.3 (Good time to listen, but a high backgroundnoice covered the weakest stations)

3935 18.53 Laser Hot Hits giving the Merlin, Ontario -address.
4025 19.52 Laser Hot Hits giving the web-address.
6265 13.45 R.O.Z. playing music from the 80´s.
6265 18.45 greek pirate here playing music. No talking heard.
6275 08.08 Radio Calypso on air for the third saturday in a row now. Had a mighty piratebattle with Laser in the morning. Both with good signals throwing howling carierwavetones at each other. I would say both of them lost this fight with SINPO 31331. Five hours later Calypso was still on the air with 35333 but no sign of Laser...
6275,5 08.40 Laser Hot Hits with a good signal but problems with Calypso...
6306 12.32 Radio Royal weak this weekend. Popmusic.
6310 18.20 Radio Lowland played David Bowie. Strong, 45444!
6311,1 19.08 Radio l'Arboc talking about an international festival in Tarragona.
6325,3 18.06 Radio Alice strong like Lowland. Played of course "Living next door to Alice".
6882 07.50 PlayBack International with nonstop music/IDs in the morning, italian live programme 17.52, played an old recording of KLIF Dallas 1190 kHz around 19.38.
6925 17.56 Spider Radio with "Hotel California". USB.

Sunday 2.3 (A magnific winterday here. Spent a finnish style day with my lady and daughters; crosscountry skiing for a couple of hours followed by a burning hot Sauna! Also a little DX. On hour in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening...)

3935 20.13 Laser Hot Hits playing some recordings from Wonderful Radio London, 1967. Rock'n'roll.
4025 20.15 Laser Hot Hits with newer music here.
5815 08.15 Orion Radio told the results from a bandscan. "Lowland, greek on 6265..." Good signal but not a very long programme this morning.
6210 08.01 Laser Hot Hits on this frequency now. Played Dusty Springfield.
6220 15.15 Mystery Radio pumping out discomusic. Surprisingly good signal and sound this early. Usually theese longskips come in some hours later.
6276 09.10 Doctor Tim talking over "Tell Laura I love her". Radio Bobby memorial programme was on.
6300 14.18 Radio Tornado with a discoshow. Sign off at 15.03. Very good and clear sound.
6303,2 14.12 Radio Delta "...from the south of the Netherlands". Nice to hear Delta again, the last time I heard him on shortwave was 1984, 23 years ago... Great music; Bowie, "Stairway to heaven" etc.
6312,2 19.50 Radio L'Arboc and "Licence to kill". Time signals and ID on the hour.
6325 07.43 Radio Lowland playing Abba, Men at work etc. Always a guest in my radio on sundaymornings.
6882 08.20 PlayBack International with nonstop music/IDs this early.

Thats it. Next weekend I guess Andy in London has sold his stampcollection and is enjoying piratetunes again.
And Alex has his kids in kindergarten and is dancing to the same tunes in Cologne.
