Time to find a new hobby?
Gardening? - Still prone to the weather & the sun,just like radio,so no.
Fishing? - Still has days with plenty of catches and others with few,just like radio,so no.
Stamp Collecting? - That's it! - Receive stamps from all over the world in perfect condition - not affected by the weather or sunspot activity! - No,just doesn't do it for me.I Guess I'm just a radio freak!
To be fair,the bad days help to make the good ones more enjoyable.Part of the joy of radio is how unpredictable it can be.
But the last two days have been really terrible,haven't they?I can't remember a worse weekend.And I can't believe that I didn't hear Borderhunter or Orion!!They are normaly rock solid signals here.I Guess their signals just skipped right over London & what was
left was drowned out by the noise.
It was a nice quiet morning,but the noise hit me at 0920...........just as I was getting interested in Dr.Tim's programme.
I kept returning to the radio but the noise remained till about 1100,by which time I guess most operators had decided it wasn't worth warming up their rigs.
