This week has been like the weather here,dark,wet & miserable.

It began with some stupid postings about WMR,was followed by the sad news of two deaths and ended with poor conditions on the SW bands but some superb tributes.

Colin Dixon,more recently with LHH,was originally involved with Radio Gemini,back in the early seventies.One of my own most powerful influences,I used to listen to Radio Gemini with no fading,I only caught their groundwave as they were so local to me.

Stefan Dietl I didn't know,but obviously from the internet & radio many of you reading this did.And it seems he was a very nice guy.I was very moved by the tributes to him,especially emotional ones from Dr.Tim & Borderhunter.It is always very sad when someone dies,even sadder when they die so young.He was a very popular young man,who would have been very proud of the Pirate tributes to him today and I am sure very proud to have been able to call you his friends.

6255Khz - 1028-1033 - Radio Zodiac Int - 34333 - Tribute to Stefan Dietl.Later played Stiltskin & Skunk'n'Ansee.
Good signal for 100 watts in poor conditions.
6270Khz - 1015-1020 - Radio Shadowman - 55444 - "Camouflage".
6280Khz - 0958-1003 - Radio Merlin Int - 35443 - "Ashes to Ashes".
6290Khz - 0930-0935 - Radio Borderhunter - 55444 - Tribute to Stefan Dietl - Off at 0957.On full power I suspect.
6300Khz - 1003-1008 - Radio Dr.Tim - 45443 - Tribute to Stefan Dietl.Strongest signal I've ever heard from Dr.Tim.
6310Khz - 1115-1120 - Radio Boomerang - 44434 - "Road to Nowhere" - Closed at 1121 so as not to interfere with
Dr.Tim,but he had gone off already.Not as strong as normal.
6325Khz - 0940-0945 - Radio Lowland - 24333.
6400Khz - 0935-0940 - WMR - 45434 - Jack - "Teenage Rampage" - Feature on Celtic Music Radio.
