Hi Jan,

thanks a lot for the link. A Dutch friend brought me the single in the end-80´. I idled it away. Last time I heard it - I think - on 10Gold. The text seems to be political, isn´t it. It´s a shame, I don´t understand Dutch.

Listen to the next RADIO SONAR transmission,

should be something like this, translated it in a onlinetranslator and editted it a bit.

East Berlin, Unter der Linden
There people along to hang out the flag and standards walk
Where Lenin and Marx still stand on a socket

And everyone works, hammers and sickles
Whereas in paradepas the guard is changed
Forty years socialism, there in that time much it has been reached

But what is that holylstate if there walls stand around
If you must handle frightened and your opinion carefully
Ah what is that holystate, me says what is it worth?
When someone who deviates for crazy person is explained

And only the birds fly of East to West Berlin
Are not blown the whistle on, also not shot down
Concerning the wall, concerning iron the curtain
Because they want be sometimes in the west, sometimes also in the east
Because they want be sometimes in the west, sometimes also in the east

West Berlin, the Kurfürstendam
There people walk along porno and peepshow
Where Mercedes and Cola stands still on a socket

And neon publicities which glitterend quiffs
come dance, comel eat, comel drink, come gamble
That is now forty years freedom, there has been reached in that time much

But what is that freedom without house without job
So many Turks in Kreuzberg who can exist scarcely
Well, you can demonstrate, but with your back against the wall
And only if you have money, then freedom is not expensive

And the birds fly of West to East Berlin
Are not blown the whistle on, also not shot down
Concerning the wall, concerning iron the curtain
Because they want be sometimes in the east, sometimes also in the west
Because there bread lies sometimes at the Gedächtniskirche
Sometimes on the Alexanderplein
