Hi Jari
Your UNID on sunday 6240 khz is R.Caroline. It looks like you and me are the only two listeners who have logged this station. Caroline was a bit stronger at my QTH, 9+35 db. They must have a very powerful tx puting out that signal to my QTH at daytime.

Greetings Peter

Hi Jari
Do you have any ideas from were Caroline is transmitting. Usually i have poor reception on 48 at daytime, so i think the distance must be from around 500 to 1000 km.

Hello Peter!

Sorry, I do not have any idea where from Caroline had transmitted.
I thought they were from UK and was surprised when saw your logging
with so good reception. I heard them only a few minutes before
their signal faded out.

Its a mystery, i tried to ask different persons. But i dont get a straight answer. I also heard Caroline on 25 March at 1646 UTC with the same killer signal 9+40 db, and then nobody else heard them. I was the only one ??. Maybe if someone involved has some info about R.Caroline, i would very much appreciate if you could PM me.

Thanks and 73 Peter J

I listened to Radio Caroline on 6240kHz 11.04-12.00 UTC, they shut down the transmitter for about 1-2 minutes at 11.18UTC. SINPO 35443 here in Raisio south-western Finland.
Maybe same transmitter than Radio Whitestar used earlier this year???
Then reception was about same.

It could be so, that would explain why the signal is so strong at my QTH.
Many thanks for the info Rick

Cheers Peter
