Noisy bands today, but some strong signals once it woke up. Most stations have signed off or gone back into the noise by 1100UTC. No sign of Spaceshuttle here, I'm afraid, though I tried all the frequencies...

Sat 24th
---------

6305kHz, UNID playing French music at 1625UTC followed by "Everywhere" by Fleetwood Mac (I think). Might have been Zulou Kilo per Achim's blog. 24322.

Sun 25th
----------

5720kHz, Orion Radio, playing Cat Stevens' "Moonshadow" at 0806UTC. Good signal, 44433.

6220kHz, Mystery Radio, playing "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper at 0502UTC. 44444. Mystery remained audible for most of the morning, which it usually doesn't here.

6240kHz, UNID heard very weakly with music and English-accented announcement at 1100UTC. 24221.

6280kHz, UNID (maybe Scirocco) playing Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark" at 0813, followed by a brief announcement. TVI + SSB QRM. 23222.

6280kHz, Radio Shadowman playing Queen's "Radio Gaga" at 0924UTC, and reporting to VOTN at 1012UTC. Very strong, 44333.

6290kHz, Radio Mazda, heard giving email, address and SMS number in English at 1122UTC. 33322 with UTE QRM, but strong on peaks.

6300kHz, Voice of the Netherlands asking for reception reports at 0912. 23222 improving to 33322 by 1015, then heard again at 1001UTC improved to 33433, thanking me for my email...

6310kHz, Radio Quintus, playing several versions of the Summer Meeting advert in German and English at 0845, then English ID at 0855. Improving from 24322 to 34333, occasionally swamped by TTY.

6327kHz, Radio Zodiac, heard playing David Bowie, "Jean Genie" at 1020. 23322 with TVI + SSB QRM. Stronger by 1100UTC.

6540kHz, UNID heard briefly playing dance music at 0832. 24232.

All frequencies +/- a few kHz...
FRG-7 + indoor wire + matching transformer.

Best to everybody and enjoy summer time,
Peter
