21/2/07-22/2/07: 6220 kHz nighttime, weektime UNID!

Hello from London UK.

I heard a UNID station last night 21/2/07 at 2200-2300 UTC on 6220 kHz - then I left - but I came back at 0400 UTC (22/2/07) and they were still active on the same frequency!

SINPO 34333 at 2200, then SINPO 24432 at 0400.

80's pop music and 90's dance music. Very long records! There were a couple of identifications ("[xxx] Radio") but I did not understand them. No address, no e-mail, no clue!

Sounded like Dutch or German.
Pretty good modulation.

Receiver here is a Eton E5.

Help!

Thank you for your quick answer!

I found this e-mail address for them : radio6220 [AT] hotmail.com.

I was very active in the hobby of listening to SW/MW pirate radio in 1989-1995 and it is a pleasure to come back and discover new stations.

Also found another address, don't know which one is the most reliable - so have tried both: mysteryradio [AT] googlemail.com

The address they currently announce is mysteryradio @ googlemail.com but they usually only QSL for live programmes presented by Chris Ise and Andy Walker, as opposed to the non-stop pop that's pumped out the rest of the time.

These shows can be heard some weekday evenings from 6pm and also occasionally Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings on 6220.

You won't hear many more shows with Chris and Andy for a while!
Chris is in Germany and Andy, currently, is in the UK.
It's unlikely they will be in the same studio in the foreseeable future but using the internet anything is possible, it just needs to be setup and they only have to ask if that's what they want to do.
I must admit that the live shows they did made a pleasant change to the usual stuff Mystery puts out!

Dave.
