Free radio pirates on medium and short wave messageboard of alfa lima

Hello Pirate friends!

The 13th and 14th I had the pleasure to visit the QTH of Malmoe Shortwaveclub, in Saxtorp, where they have some nice antennas. I used an 700 meter long in direction Central Americas/North South America.
It was some years since I had the oppurtunity to do this kind of DX, otherwise just an dipole.

After this DX-camp I must say that a good working dipole for the 48 m band is almost as good as a long antenna for the 48 m band, althought it's great fun to now that you have 700 meters of wire in the woods. But on MV it was better and more quite, no QRM and good strong signal from the Dutch MV stations.

But this is what I heard during the weekend:

3926 21.45 Radio Delmare with ID, weak signal SINPO 22222

6267 21.10 R O Z announcing their e-mail adress SINPO 34333

6295 20.30 UNID station with nice signal for the music but the talk was worse. Could hear many announcments of their hotmail.com adress but just can't seem to understand what they say. Any Idea? 21.21 mx "Walking in Memphis" 33222

6300 14.29 Just caught the last ID of Finnhits Radio and later there where a Dutch station sending regards to them. Quite OK signal on both of them.SINPO 22222

6300.11 20.06 Probably Finnhits again, but just able to hear them in LSB due to italian amateurs talking on this freq. SINPO 11111

6215 UNID weak signal, just audible for some minutes

6240 10.28 BRI weak signal

6260 08.55 Radio Robbie with ID and sms-nr, suffering big time from Orion Radio. But after c/d of Orion your signal was good. SINPO 21211 to 33222

6265 07.57 Orion Radio, always bright and early, with a killer signal today. Unfortunatly it was quite heavy splatter here. Could start to hear his signal on 6274. SINPO 55555. Could be a local station!

6270 09.49 UNID station weak signal

6275 09.27 UNID station with mx. Quite weak signal SINPO 22222

6280 07.34 Radio Merlin giving post adr, best signal in a long time, clear nice freq. SINPO 34333

6280 09.52 Flux AM with SINPO 33333

6290 09.40 Radio Scirocco with SINPO 34333 solid signal

6292 00.09 Skyline Radio Int with "Browneyed Girl" SINPO 34333

6295 09.35 Radio Atlantis with a really strong signal, playing Basshunter from Sweden. (actually he is from the same town as I am - Halmstad)

6300 07.30 Finnhits Radio with nice signal this morning "We play only Finnish Hits" SINPO 34333 also back at 10.00

6307 10.20 Radio Eastside with a short test. Better freq and good signal.

6310 09.15 Radio Fox 48 with a good signal SINPO 44444

6325 07.37 Radio Paarderkracht with ID SINPO 33333

6387 10.18 UNID strong signal, mx Nirvana. Hot Radio ????

6400 07.41 W M R with a very nice signal, clear freq and just very nice to wake up with. Great guys! SINPO 44444

6402 08.47 Radio Eastside, testing there new 20 watt transmitter. Very nice signal, but some fading. I suppose you where on 6400 but on 6402 you where clear and I could at the same time copy WMR SINPO 34333

12256 Wreckin Radio Int with a really nice signal. SINPO 33333 Nice music aswell

Well quite a nice logg after all. New stations was FinnHits Radio, Radio Eastside, Radio Robbie and UNID on 6295.

Just to let you know it wasnt BRI you heard on 6240khz it was Laser, due to technical reasons its likely BRI will only run a 60 min programme on the 27th Jan, we hope to bring back the usual 2 hour show in Feb.

I hope to make a guest appearence on EMR this Sunday 21st Jan from 13.15utc 5965khz, other radio shows can be heard via radio Seagull Sunday nights from 10pm on 1602khz and via www.radioseagull.com.

Well Orion, your signal was very impressive and I think maybe the very long antenna had something to do with your signal beeing wide, I haven't heard that before at my regular QTH. Could it be that way, any ideas anyone?

Sorry BRI, I was just passing by the freq and noticed a signal, quite weak and kind of assumed that being you. I will keep the ears open for you.
