Hello Pirate People!

Today I had the possibilty to do some serious pirate hunting out in my QTH. Morning was first very nice with clear blue sky and crisp wether and towards lunch more cloudy.
But this is what I heard;

6950 UNID station heard with just one song “So this is Christmasâ€

Hello!

Today I have also received an e-mail from the guy behind this station and he also confirms this report and it's fun to have heard him here in Sweden. Must be quite a kick for him getting his low power signal to Sweden.

Best regards

Göran

Hello Pirate freaks!

Just got an e-mail from the station on 6950 that I heard on sunday and yes he was testing with just 1 tube and estimated power was 2 watts !!!!
As OP says "pretty incredible and no one in Netherlands heard me"
Pictures of the transmitter looking quite cool.

I'm really happy over this one. One of my greatest catches on SW so far.

Regards
Göran :D

Rob007's bet seems to have been pretty productive then. Several new stations on air and more inspired people is never a bad thing. I'll have to listen out for Electric radio-Would be a nice catch right at the start of my pirate listening!

A busy Sunday for SW stations very enjoyable listening, however the day was slightly spoilt with the appearence of I think? a new station called
`Zender Scirocco` who made the mistake of using 6240khz at the same time as Jolly Roger Radio, the end result was severe QRM to both stations, does anyone have a contact email address to this new station? if so please could you let me know so the station could be contacted to inform them of the regular use of 6240khz each Sunday by either JRR/BRI or Laser.

Another black mark to the day was the ongoing jamming of Weekend Music radio on 6400khz, I find this situation very damaging to SW free radio the only thing it creates is bad feeling, what is the point of jamming another stations frequency? we are all here to supply enjoyable free radio! to have another station blocking a well established station is just pointless, if anyone knows who might be causing the problems to WMR I am sure Jack Russel would like to know.

Thanks Goran for mentioning the problems on 6240khz.

Regards

Roger

the issue with 6.400 is that it is a standard crystal. and easy to get, so any rig builders probably gonna use this frequency to test there new build transmitters.

Another great catch from Sunday!

Hello!

I did logg a station in QSO with Borderhunter on 6200, see my logg. After listening to my tapes I heard that it was Radio Pacman. And after contact with him he told me 100 % correct and he was only using 5 watts of power. Seems that this sunday had very nice conditions. Keep it up Pacman and all other pirates out in Europe because this is just so much fun.

Best Pirate regards from Sweden
