WNKR has been transmitting on 1476KHz in the mw band for over 2 months now from the west and north of kent in the Uk.
Whilst we have had moderate sucess,(ie daytime sigs heard over a 100 miles away and nite time over 600 miles), it would be good if we could get more response! The power we are using is just 20 watts average into a "t" aerial 70 foot high (about 23 metres).
Althougth the broadcasts are meant to be local, because we run from about 19:00 utc on saturday nites until sometime sunday afternoon, DX is possible.
Cheers from the London boys.
