Around 0700+, Mystery Radio was BLASTING IN on 6220. Best signal I ever had from them--they were around 5 LEDs on the Sony 2010 (on a night when the background noise was 0/1 LED. I could even hear the "mysterious" background sounds on the IDs.
Really nice, so I assumed that I'd be hearing tons of stations by about 0800-0900. Wrong. Conditions evidently changed dramatically. Nothing was audible...and I had trouble even hearing carriers because I was overloading the front end of the 2010 with about a 200-foot antenna (after I blew out the FETs in my old 2010, it worked really well when connected to longwires!)
Anyway, my only other luck came from ALI on 15074. Pretty nice signal here from about 1500-1700 or so. Lots of rock music, including Manfred Mann, Madness, Led Zep, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc. Were you playing "Sweet Home Alabama" for the U.S. crowd?
Oh well, it didn't work out nearly as well for me as New Years 2000 and 2001, but thanks to everyone who tried to broadcast to the U.S.
Happy New Year!
