Thanks Michel for logging Radio Zeewolf.
I was in QSO with Radio Nora who had a music program on 6290.
Also the first time that I use a Schomandl signal generator instead of a frequency crystal.
The Schomandl signal generator did I purchase only recently and weights about 25 kg.
That is a big difference compared with the light weighted DDS.

Greetings,
Herman,
Radio Zeewolf Int.

Hi Herman,

Is the generator stronger than the transmitter ?

Oh no Michel. A signal generator produces only 100 milliwatts. I can not measure this weak signal it with my Diawa watt meter.
But it can make a very clean signal from 0 - 100 mHz.
The signal generator is the input for the real tx with several tubes.
I can even use the internal modulator to create audio in AM or FM.
It was used before to adjust and calibrate radio receivers.
You can google on Schomandl MS 100 for some pictures.

Greetings,
Herman.

That's OK. And about the size, if your transmitter is using tubes, I suppose that the transmitter is bigger than the generator ? and heavier ?

Hello Michel,
Yes I am using tubes on the TX (4 tubes)with build in power supply but the generator is still heavier.
The TX is also much smaller (without the modulator).
