Hi everyone:

What a weekend!!! Friday night was terrible, but Saturday and Sunday were incredibly good. There was a huge number of stations on the air, conditions were wide open, and I was getting details and IDs from almost every station.

On Sunday afternoon, I was searching through 27-28 MHz for music pirates and was surprised to find a couple Irish church services. I have since discovered that is actually legal to transmit church services on the CB band in Ireland, but I left the logs in anyway, since they demonstrate the improving conditions on the higher bands. I also heard a station playing bluegrass on 21356, Cupid was received on 15070 and 21460, and FSM was heard decently on 11320 and 11440, so the sunspots are having some effect. :D

There were too many good shows and good signals to mention them all, but it was really nice to hear Borderhunter back on the air, as well as Trans Europe, Universe and Telstar, whom I have not heard in a while.

US activity was up a bit this weekend, as well. The current “pirate war” in the US is still unresolved, but ops are taking to the airwaves anyway. Hopefully, this will continue.
