logs from Newfoundland, Feb. 11-13

Post by newfoundland dxer »

]Hi everyone:

Again, it has been a while since I last posted my logs. I have been listening during the evening on weekends (and Sunday mornings), but have had no hobby time during the week due to work and family commitments. Consequently, I have had little time to review audio files, send reports or post logs.

This past weekend saw some of the best conditions in months, at least in the evenings. 48 m has opened again in the evening (a sure sign of spring conditions coming). Sunday mornings, however, continue to be poor here.

It was very nice to hear so many stations on the air Friday and Saturday nights. Most weekends, there are lots of listeners around chat in the evenings, with few stations on the air. This weekend was an exception. Great shows (and signals) from Borderhunter, Skyline, Marconi, Mustang, and Black Bandit, and some rare blues form TRX.

Two new stations logged this week were Radio Experience and Radio Iceman. Weak signals for both, but very nice to hear them for the first time.

As always, thanks to all the ops for the great shows and tests.
