Hello Freebird,sorry for causing the splatter.I dont understand because i always modulate at the same way and i never had complains before.I did played some songs from cds,maybe to much high tones?Usaly i play from vinyl.

Hello Saturnus, Of course we pirates don´t like that and it could be the cd´s, but I guess sometimes it is in the air. In the past I had the same problem sometimes and I also didn´t change anything in fact I cut off all audio freq. above 6kc.
Looking at other Legal stations they are often much wider. Good luck.

I listened the same morning and the only station that was excessively wide was Magic. Optimod and Saturnus hade very strong signals but not much splatter.

I hate to make complaints, but there was one station that especially caught my attention that sunday, because of the extremely bad modulation. When examining your signal on both a normal and a vector oscilloscope I noticed that you overmodulated far too much. Furthermore there was some audio feedback to the oscillator, resulting in some FM on the signal. I would suggest to increase you transmitter power (without increasing modulation power) or to lower the modulation power.

When re-reading my reply, I think I was a bit to negative. So forget the words 'extermely bad'. Compared to the other stations that morning the audio signal was not of equal quality. However my suggestion still stands.

Furtermore notice that Saturnus was not the only station causing splatter !

Hello you all,thanks for all the comments.@Orion,yes very strange so now and then on SW.@Optimod,i work with the sk 010 and only 25 watts output and with a simple limiter maybe do some adjustments on that.I use it for some time now and no one ever complained about the modulation being to loud.@Freebird,thanks for the reports and stay tuned.Greetings Martin,Radio Saturnus.
