Hello,
some stations are very hard to identify. They play hours and hours of nonstop music without any announcement. Then they make an ID just during the time with the fading is very deep and that it was.
Other stations are playing a lot of jingle IDs in a quality, which is not very compatible to short wave.
Some more stations – by the way…….most stations……. - have a very low voice modulation.
Very bad time for a listener is a mix of these three points.
Here are some examples, 3920 was different only.

1920 3920 34433 Radio 3920, clear ID at 1920: Radio 3920 on 76meter AM, playing solid, interesting Rock mx, Free Bird at 2004, off at 2050, UK-DX heard Phoenix at 2010
1923 6319 33433 Caroline, with FM relay? Usual telephone sound
2001 6400 34422 Radio Low Power, greets to Radio Saxonia , ann. 50W, ID Radio Low Power from the Netherland, low voice modulation, nice Rock mx
