Free radio pirates on medium and short wave messageboard of alfa lima

A great Europirate weekend, as test transmissions on 9, 15, and 21 Mhz were successful, and 48 meters had an abundance of stations on Sunday morning. I was surprised at how late I was getting audio on some stations, and that it was possible to hear audio as late as 0900 UTC. Had I known so many stations would be on so early, I would have gotten out of bed at least an hour earlier. Please keep in mind that late Saturday evening transmissions are propagating well now; I had audio from Laser Hot Hits as early as 1915 UTC on Saturday. So Saturday evening transmissions will probably get heard over here also.

PIRATE (Euro). 6209.5, Radio Waves Int'l, 0822-0826 Oct 30, Too weak to copy much hear, also voice traffic on USB. Song heard at 0822, talk by OM at 0826. ID based on Dave Valko's log at the same time. (Maroti-NY)

PIRATE (Euro). 6218.9, Laser Hot Hits, 0837-0838 Oct 30, Normally, I don't bother logging LHH, as they are on 24/7. But what was interesting about them this time is how their signal improved after the Dutch stations had started to fade out. ID and sound effects at 0837, followed by "Shout" by Depeche Mode. PIRATE (Euro). 6264.84, Cupid Radio, 0743-0830 Oct 30, Very weak signal here, SINPO 14331. Talk by OM DJ at 0757, then a ballad. Song with female vocals at 0801. Phonetic spelling at 0818. MSN chat with Rinus at the time confirmed it was him. Pulsating ute always seemed to come on during the DJ's talk. Only 30 watts. (Maroti-NY)

PIRATE (Euro). 6290.66, Radio Pirana International, 0807-0813 Oct 30, An even weaker signal here, no surprise as Jorge Garcia was only running about 20 watts. PIRATE (Euro). 6305.1, Radio Mazda, 0738-0912 Oct 30, Mostly polkas and Dutch songs during the periods that I listened, but I also heard "Man of Action"at 0847; IDs at 0751 and 0836 UTC. The strongest pirate on 48 meters this morning, I was surprised how long his signal hung in there. SINPO 24332. (Maroti-NY)
