re splatter

Hello again,

I agree with Andy; that are good point's. It is no problem to me to put this on my homepage by example in the address list station name and the freq. the regular use for the stations who use often the same freq.

About the dx-ers and listeners, most receptions I get are from dx-ers and listeners with a good sw-receiver, and not an ordinair radio.

But posting all of this is not a guaranty that we are all free from splatter or something like that now. Often I look for pirates who post there broadcast like Alfa lima does, but because of the short skip and posible the antenna he use I don't copy his signal here on the higher freq. and he is only 80km away from me.

But it is alway better as doing nothing, and I am sure it is not the intention off most pirates to harm someone else, these things happen accidentally.

So all off you feel free to send me your sttion info and regular freq. you use and I put it in the pirate addres list.

Sure No rules, It is no MUST, but we can try to keep free-pirate radio nice, or....... just try to sit someone else on top. It´s all to you.

Hello everybody,

it could be much easier (for us listeners) if the stations would simply use another frequency rather than trying to find out whose transmitter is the loudest...

So many totally free frequencies to discover between 6320 and 6550 kHz or in the area around 5800 kHz...

Anyway, phoning or texting your fellow operator before starting a transmission is not forbidden by law

Hear from you... (again)

Hello...,

I agree completely with Andy. I do not know what kind of station I am considered to be, but what I do know is the fact that even a high power-station does have interference from even the smallest low-power station, surely in the local area of thatr station. When propagation is considered also on a distance the high-power station can suffer from severe interference. So it's also in the interrest of the high-power station to look for a clear frequency.

Concerning the place to be, I think there is still room for all of us. Maybe not always on the more popular frequencies between 6280 and 6315, but there are more freq's to choose from towards 6400 or even above without having to disappear to an obscure frequency like around 5400 kc. So I would say, if you consider yourself as a low-power station and would like to be heard all day I think it's worthwile to look for a clear frequency just outside the bands as mentioned above.

I am afraid however high-power stations do have more 'rights' than low-power stations. Nevertheless, it would be a great pity if the low-power stations gave up their transmissions. This because they mostly place their efforts on making a nice and enjoyable program instead of generating as much power as possible.

Greetings,
R.Optimod

Hello All,

Of course it would be nice if everybody post his (plan to) transmission, but as this is on line some pirtaes rather don't like this because the Dutch AT can see this posts to. So this is not the solution. Another possibility is some kind of online sms or email system. SMS sytems cost a lot of money so I guess the email system is the only way at the moment. Think about sending on air info to a special email address which will be forwarded to the members ( pirates). If this is a solution to you Its no problem for me to set this up at the homepage.

We can't ask the low-power stations to do there broadcast outside the more popular frequencies I guess. It is not like the more power the more duties.

So let me know how you think about this

Youve got an idea John..

What you say about a special mailing list only for operators would be a good idea, before operators can joing you can screeen them, But,,,,,,, Then everyone should participate, and we all know, that is impossible. :-k
Still. a good idea, not more than hour in advance of anouncing the transmision and frequency.. also anounce the end of the px, It could work.. :beerparty:

Hello Alfred,

thanks. Indeed screening i've tought about it And I guess it's neccercery, but also Impossible. But we have to start somewhere. I guess I will fix some thing and put it on line, lets see if this works. With today's technic most pirates use an handy and possible they are able to send email with it to, so also for out door or nature pirates it's an solution.

Hi JoJo,Hi Alfred & Hi Optimod too!!,

I think this is a postive move.Worth a try anyway.Yes,someone will have to do some screening, but if properly worked out it can at least improve the situation There is nothing to lose.Go for it!

As for the Dutch AT,if they are reading this then at least they can see that we are doing our best not to cause interference.

BTW,Optimod,I would regard you as a high power station,if not, then you must have an excellant aerial & earth!!

Hello all,

if I may speak for myself: In no way I would think about publishing time and frequency of my planned transmission. I know how active the dutch authorities are in scanning the internet. Nevertheless, Radio Orion is still on air...
Furthermore I would guess it's could be no very big problem for them to become a member of the proposed list. Next thing is that I read my Email just some very now and then, because I am connected to the Internet through a very, very low-speed telephone line and not all stations do have a computer and/or internet connection.

Concerning R.Optimod. It's just a temporary station to do some audio processing experiments. Both in hard- and software. Concerning the results I am not that satisfied, so propably in a few weeks all will be back to normal.

Hello Optimod,

Sure I understand, it is all up to you. I understand You don´t like to post on air info, mostly I do this just before goin on air. For special test I have my own members. The email list well sure as I told we have to screan every member and of course this is not 100%. But looking at the forums every body complains about splatter, sitting on top etc. It´s just an Idea I am working on and see if it works. Sure can do nothing and maybe mobody will or can listen to pirates any more.

99 % screening could be easy..

No mistakes,, The mailing list would only be for pirate stations, also only spread out to the pirate stations,
screening could be 100 %, Stations can only be registered with the email address they also use when on air, so only with the public station email address, only way that at could come on the list is that they also have to lauch pirat programs on shortwave, and i guess they never would do so,, if they did just to get information and it would come out that they also were illegal pirating public opinion would flow down like a knive in butter. for savety it could be running on a private server..
i say, yes, it would work, anouncement within the hour, and anouncement when closing down or closed down...,,, can you run a script on a pprivate server jojo,, or otherwise i will look for a nice mailng script,,

Adding you to this system could take some time because it's new and we have to screen you of course.

Feel free to invite other pirates! Maybe we can come on the air without interfering with each other.
