Hi folks,
conditions were something of bizarre today. When I woke up, I got some of the best signals since I started listening to pirate. By noon, everything was weak and barely readable.
Here we go...
At 7.55 GMT on 6280, Radio Atlantis International played two dance/techno tracks. At 8.01 ID was given through a jingle, followed by schlager. Audio is available and will be sent to the station Sinpo: 44444.
At 8.13 GMT on 6288, Alfa Lima International announces the station is about to move to 6294. There, the program restarts with the same Groove Armada track which begun on the old frequency, then a dance song. Better signal on the new frequency (Sinpo: 44434), altough it wasn't that bad on the old one. At 8.17 dj speaks about a sunny sky and temperatures around 8/10 Celsisus ("It's nice to be in Holland in winter"). Then, he gives mail and hotline. Audio will be forwarded to the station. Furthermore, I would like to take the opportunity to publicly state how I'm happy to have tuned this station. If I discovered this wonderful hobby it's thanks to this forum, and not tuning the station related to it was getting frustrating. Thanks!
At 9.12 GMT, on 6305, Delta Radio thanks Achim who sent an sms to the studio (I think it's what it was, as dj spoke in dutch!). Then, he played some instrumental music for this listener. Various (at least three) tracks follow without any announcement. At 9.27 dj gives mail (deltaradio#tiscali.nl). Audio will be sent to the operator.
At 9.18 GMT on 6210 a UNID plays a pop song from the 80's (Baltimora), then "Eye of the tiger". At first it was barely audible, but the signal grew up a bit. Sinpo: 24433. I came back afterwards to check again, but at 9.42 I had no more signal on the frequency.
At 9.37 GMT, on 6300 , Radio Boomerang greets listeners on the "Enola Gay" intro. Sinpo: 44444.
At 9.45 GMT Alfa Lima International announces sign off, first in english, then in dutch. I've got a clip of the signing off. Only thing is that I noted this down as happening on 6290. A third frequency change? Sinpo: 45444.
At 11.51 GMT, on 6305, Shadowman after having played some music and spoke various times in dutch, signs off at 11.52. Sinpo: 44434.
At 11.53 GMT, on 6280, Flux AM plays schlager with a very weak signal (24333). A minute after, dj speaks and gives hotline (repeating the number, in all, three times). At 11.58 he speaks in dutch and ends announcement by giving mail. At 12.03 he reads my sms on the air. Thanks Flux for paying that attention to your listeners!
At 12.03 GMT, on 6270, Radio Sonar dj on an instrumental music carpet gives e-mail and hotline in german, then the track (kind of chillout stuff) goes on. At 13.10, a jingle with echo ("Radio Sonar... Sonaaar"), then anouther announcement. Signal weak, but with good peaks: 24433.
At 12.48 GMT on 6265 a dj announces a test is underway for Radio Scotland International. He speaks for a while, but signal was once again weak, then plays some techno/dance stuff. I then lost the signal, but a bit of audio (albeit a quite unreadable one) is available and will be sent to the station. Sinpo: 24334.
At 13.03 GMT, on 5965, MV Baltic Radio booms in via Julich. "Helter Skelter" is played, then dj Roland opens the broadcast in deutsch (the signal is relayed, but originally comes from north-east Germany). At 13.13 after a jingle giving station power, the website for MV Baltic is announced. At 13.37 an interview in english to an artist, talking about german audience ("in Uk they like popstars, here you really like the music"), is aired. Audio will be sent to the station. Sinpo: 44434.
And then, I'll end with what's becoming an usual sunday trivia. Who's on 6310 at 13.10 GMT, playing non stop pop music, without ID's? Sinpo: 4444 and the kind of programs lead me to Malaisy once again, but it has to be listed as an UNID. The station signed off suddenly during a song at 13.29 GMT, but at a 13.38 check the signal was again there.
Thanks in advance to anyone who will provide help with UNIDs.
Station: Degen DE 1103 coupled with an internal wire (fingers crossed right now, but I hope to improve my shack soon).
