Hi folks,
variable conditions here too, but many stations heard today. Let's go...
At 6.26 GMT I tune on 6300 and find Radio Shadowman playing "Radio Ga-ga" from Queen. "Eye Of The Tiger" follows. Another pop song then gets aired. At 6.34 the dj speaks in dutch and gives station name. At 6.36 a schlager track is broadcasted (a bit of this tune is recorded and will be sent to the station). At 6.45 the dj speaks in english and explains it's a test transmission, then wishes good morning to listeners. Sinpo: 44434.
At 6.46 GMT, on 6210, Cupid Radio is rocking with "The Power Of Love" from Huey Lewis, followed by another pop tune. The dj, at 6.48, mentions the lack of reactions and guess not so good conditions for the band. Then he gives the sms hotline: 0031610544700. He announces also the address: Po Box 9, 8096ZG, Oldebroek. "Walk of Life" from Dire Straits follows. I then sent him an sms, and would like to thank the dj of this station for reading it on the air, and also for playing Kyle Minogue for me. Thanks, man! Sinpo: 44334.
At 6.59 GMT, on 6250, a supposedly Iron Maiden tune (or anyway a heavy kind song) rocks the band. At 7.06, a jingle gets aired and it sounds to me like Westcoast AM. Then, another song of the same kind (always sounding like Bruce Dickinson). Sinpo: 34434.
At 7.09 GMT, Orion Radio is on 6285. The dj thanks a listener for an sms, but guesses the band not so open, judging upon reactions. Then plays the Beatles for a listener in Finland who sent in a message. "Old Pretty Woman" from Gary Moore follows (I've a bit of audio and will send it to the station). Sinpo: 44334. For me, better signal than last week on 5726.
At 8.16 GMT, Magic AM dj - after the dance track "Good Times" -announces on 6275 the sms hotline (0031617332340) and the station e-mail (magic.am#wanadoo.nl). Then he announces more "oldies but goldies" and puts on the turntable "Don't You Want Me Baby", at the end of which he speaks in dutch to read an sms. I want to thank also "Magic Man" for his kindness in reading soon after the sms I sent. It's a pleasure to deal with you guys, and expect an audio file soon. Sinpo: 44334.
At 8.54 GMT, on 6220, Mistery Radio is playing "Jump" from Van Halen. Then, a dj speaks in Dutch (first time for me hearing a human being on Mistyery!). E-mail follows in english. More fading from other days, but still a great signal. Sinpo: 44434.
At 8.59 GMT, on 6325, a pop version of "La vie en rose" is on the air. A dj then announces "Horse power from Netherlands", and it's Paardekracht Radio. Signal low, but readable. Sinpo: 33333. I've available an audio bit, which I'll send with pleasure to the station.
At 9.13 GMT, a UNID on 6265 plays an 80's pop track. I'd say it was from a concert, as at its end you could hear the singer talking to the audience. Very weak. Sinpo: 33323.
At 11.13 GMT, on 6290, a jingle on the song "I Can't Stop Loving You" announces Radio Mazda e-mail (radiomazda#hotmail.com). During the local afternoon hours, signals got weaker, and this was a Sinpo: 33333 too. Audio will be sent to the station.
At 14.10 GMT, on 6878, Pirate Music is there with the usual "Power Fm" program. "The Power Of Love" from Huey Lewis and The News gets played, and a jingle then announces the station name. Always a strong signal. Sinpo: 44334.
At 14.12 GMT, on 6205 a UNID plays a George Michael song. At 14.18 the rap version of "Staying Alive" goes on the air and then gets mixed with "The Men In Black". Low signal: 33333.
That's it for this sunday. As always, my shack for these listenings features a Degen DE1103 coupled with a wire.
Any help with UNID will be welcome. Thanks again to everyone in this forum and in the studios for another pleasant sunday.
