Hi everybody:

One very interesting thing about this weeks logs is that every station was from the USA, Italy or the Netherlands. Not a single pirate from the UK or the rest of Europe. I hope it's just holiday season and not a sign of things to come.

Special thanks to the Dutch pirates who have been using some of their valuable holiday time to broadcast. Much appreciated.

I am beginning to think that Newfoundland is a very special place, at least for mediumwave reception. On Monday night, Relmus Radio tested with high power on 1720 kHz. I could hear him so well that I posted on frn (the American pirate site). The_Web also posted on the American pirate IRC network, but nobody else in North America reported hearing him.

Two nights later, Bonte Koe did a cw test on 1720 with only 27 watts, and I was still able to receive him! Sometimes its nice to be on a rock in the North Atlantic.
