It seems latest antenne is working rather nice for 'DX', however (as expected) local signal is a bit troublesome.
(but this could be more related to the poor local propagation nowadays)
Unfortionally my neighbour does need his acres again when spring arrives.

Yep, that's correct.
Technically spoken, I was using a collinear array of two end-fed full wavelenth radiators.
It seems to work very nice for the long(er) distances, but local signals are somewhat disappointing.
But that's the principle of antennas: With equal power, when signal is increased in certain directions/distances, the signal in (some) other directions/distances has to be lower in strength.
With nowadays bad local propagation this seems just the right type of antenna to use.
