Many probably noticed a station in Arabic on 6290 yesterday. I see from reading Glenn Hauser's World of Radio (www.worldofradio.com) that the station is RADIO CAIRO which is scheduled to use this frequency from 1100-0300UTC.
There goes another 48m frequency.
With the new winter schedules, there may be more international stations creeping into 48m to escape the overcrowded 49mb (not helped by all those DRM broadcasts splattering 20kHz ether side).
